About the artist:
Svalan writes: I’m an illustrator and comic artist based in Stockholm and Malmö, Sweden. I have spend several years studying comics making in theory and practice and I still enjoy making comics even though illustration is my main focus these days. I strive to create art that’s appealing to the eye but that always has that little twist of eeriness and darkness to it. I draw great inspiration from artists like Hans Arnold, Maurice Sendak, Tove Jansson and Edward Gorey (among others).
